One but last step of website design
This is the moment we have all been waiting for. All the work over the last weeks, days, hours becomes reality and the website is deployed on the Web and visible to all!
There are actually two ways of deploying a website: roll it all out in one swoop go or do it in stages. If parts of the website are created and deployed incrementally the design teams can choose to roll them out in stages. Doing it in logical progressive stages can be used as a marketing tool to excite visitors’ anticipation on the next step of the roll out and get them to come back for it.
During this phase only minor polishing is done, such as a last checks for misspellings, grammatical errors, broken links, and broken images. All of the major checks should have been done in the previous phase, Implementation.
A post - mortem can be a useful exercise after launch, to assess what went right, what did not, why, and how to avoid these problems in the future.
